Our Corporate Social Responsibility
Positive and holistic impact.
Our drive to serve extends beyond our work with customers and partners. We have an opportunity and responsibility to make a positive and holistic impact on communities.
We do this by supporting educational initiatives that will create generational impact in the communities in which we operate, by empowering our offices and employees to give back to their own communities, and by ensuring that we run our company in a way that upholds important socially responsible policies and practices.
Serving Our Communities
Medical Cannabis Education Program
The Community Medical Cannabis Education Program empowers community members with education on the cultivation and use of cannabis and cannabinoids as medicine. The program seeks to increase the community’s awareness of medical cannabis and provide a view into how medical cannabis is grown, what it is used for and how it is accessed by patients who need it. The program’s approach focuses on training the trainer and is facilitated by Dr. Raquel Peyraube, a Medical Doctor with over a decade of experience with medical cannabis.
English as a Second Language Program
The English as a Second Language Program is offered for free to staff in Bogota, Colombia. Program participants gather to learn and practice English for two hours each workday over three months. The program is designed to enable participants to achieve a basic level of English competency. We are committed to advancing bilingualism and contributing to the increased quality of life such advancement promises.
Global Medical Education Initiative
With 100+ years of collective medical cannabis experience amongst our Plena Global team, we are committed to advancing medical education in the areas of medical cannabis and cannabinoids. Our Global Medical Education Initiative involves collaboration with local professional organizations, national medical societies, academic institutions and international cannabis conferences to provide education to healthcare professionals who want to learn about medical cannabis and its potential clinical applications.
Our commitment to the advancement of education on medical cannabis has led our dedicated team of industry leading experts to speak at events and conferences around the globe.
Public Health Policy Initiative
Plena Global is committed to ensuring healthy public policies are in place to create environments where high-quality cannabis is accessible to the patients who need it to maintain, or improve, their quality of life. Through our Public Health Policy Initiative, we support medical cannabis legalization and regulatory improvements by actively engaging and providing education to Governments, Government Bodies, NGO’s, and International Organizations. To date, our team of experts have shared their cannabis specific public health policy knowledge and expertise with stakeholders and organizations across Uruguay, Colombia, Peru, France, Brazil, Argentina, Panama, and Ecuador.
